Ethos

Sound Collective Scotland believes in the power that music can have on people, communities and education. We are heavily engaged in working for the survival and the future of music and music education in Scotland and believe that music is a vital art form that must exist to bring joy, add purpose, connect people and enrich their lives.
SCS is a vibrant ensemble with the necessary competence and skill to provide an excellent opportunity for students to learn, collaborate and experiment. All of our musicians are very enthusiastic and highly skilled in working with students and already have a vast experience in the educational setting, making us the perfect group to perform, educate and inspire the next generation of musicians and composers in Scotland, in their development towards artistic excellence.

Alongside solo and chamber music performance we believe in the importance of cross-arts and cross-culture collaborations as a vital way to bring diversity and relevance to our art which makes our projects inclusive and versatile and helps us connect with our audience.
